John Yates has been in the sheet metal industry since 1972. He served a four year apprenticeship, and he was a foreman and job superintendent for Allied Sheet Metal. In 1983, he went into business for himself and started A-J Sheet Metal. John estimates jobs and oversees projects amongst other administrative duties.

He is actively involved in The Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Utah. He served as a three term President, and has been a Board Member since 1988. He has been on many committees that have benefited the entire sheet metal industry such as the drug free workplace committee. He is a pension trustee for the industry.

Neil Roberts has worked for A-J Sheet Metal since 1985. He served a 4 year apprenticeship, and is now a Journeyman sheet metal worker. He has supervised many large and critical jobs. He now estimates and supervises work.

A-J Sheet Metal has completed hundreds of projects throughout Utah. We have done work for the State of Utah, AT&T, Qwest, Questar, Unisys, Loral, U of U Hospitals & Clinics, Abbott Critical Care, Wal-Mart, BYU, the U of U, and various school districts in the state. We have done projects of all sizes. We do small projects for customers who walk in off the street and want something fabricated. We pride ourselves in always trying to make the customer happy and in being fair.
